Cypress is one of the fastest-growing corners of the metro, and the truck count proves it. What the boom hasn't produced is a shop that specs the kit to your truck, corrects the geometry, includes the alignment, and stands behind the work for the life of the build. That shop is 35 minutes down US-290 — and Cy-Fair has been finding it for years.
Iron Ridge Off-Road has built trucks for Bridgeland, Towne Lake, Fairfield, and just about every new section breaking ground off the Grand Parkway. Lift kits, leveling kits, wheels and tires, lighting, armor — built right the first time.
Here's the honest math. Cy-Fair is full of brand-new trucks and the franchise installers that follow them, and for rotations and all-seasons those shops are fine. But a lift changes your truck's suspension geometry, and geometry work is where general shops get owners in trouble — kits bolted on without caster correction, alignments skipped to hit a price point, death wobble showing up six months later with nobody willing to own it.
Iron Ridge is a dedicated build shop. Lift kits and suspension upgrades aren't a side service we squeeze in between oil changes — they're the entire business. Every install is specced to the specific truck, torqued to spec, aligned in-house, and backed by a 500-mile settle check. That's why Cypress drivers pass a dozen closer shops on the way down 290.
Not sure what your truck actually needs? Start with the services overview, or just call. The first conversation is free, and nobody here will try to sell 37s to a truck that lives in a Bridgeland garage.

Every service we run in the Houston shop is available to Cypress drivers — same techs, same parts standards, same warranty. These are the builds we see most from the northwest side:
From a 2-inch level to a 12-inch show build. Specced to your platform, installed with geometry correction, aligned before it leaves the bay.
Lift Kits →The most popular install in Cy-Fair driveways. Kill the factory rake, clear a 33, keep the ride quality — alignment included, always.
Leveling Kits →All-terrains that still bite in prairie gumbo after a wet week, mud terrains that survive the 290 commute, and fitment that actually clears at full lock.
Wheels & Tires →Light bars, pods, and rock lights with clean harness work — no scotch locks, no flickering, street-legal aim out the door.
Lighting →Winches, bumpers, skids, and recovery kits — load-rated, test-fitted, and wired right. Gear you can actually trust when it's hubs-deep.
Recovery Gear →JK and JL lifts, armor, axles, and full trail builds. If there's a Wrangler in your Cypress driveway, there's a build plan for it here.
Wrangler Builds →The shop sits at 6420 Westheimer Rd, just west of the Galleria — about 25 miles from the heart of Cypress. Outside of rush hour it's a 35-minute run, and most of it is cruise control.
From Bridgeland, Towne Lake, or Fairfield, jump on US-290 East toward Houston. The whole northwest side funnels onto it — you'll be at the Beltway before your coffee's cold.
Exit onto Beltway 8 South (Sam Houston Tollway), run it down to the Westheimer Rd exit, and head east. You're five minutes out.
Early drop-offs are no problem — Mon–Fri from 8 AM, Sat from 9. Leveling kits are often same-day, so plenty of Cypress owners drop at open and pick up after work.
Before you drive in, call or book online and we'll have the consult ready when you arrive. You'll leave with a written quote and a real timeline — see exactly how it works in our five-step build process, or book the consultation and skip the phone tag.

Cypress sits where the new subdivisions run out and the prairie takes over, and the ground hasn't gotten the memo about the construction boom. Pull off the pavement in the Little Cypress Creek bottomland after a wet week — or onto any torn-up lot in a half-built section — and you're in black gumbo clay that packs into tread blocks and turns an all-terrain into a slick. If your truck ever leaves the concrete, tire choice matters out here more than almost anywhere in the metro.
The builds themselves follow a clear pattern: leveled half-tons on aggressive all-terrains, and a steady run of Super Dutys going to 35s. Diesel fronts carry real weight, and that changes the spring and shock conversation entirely — if that's your truck, read our guide to lifting a diesel truck before you buy a kit built for a gas half-ton. We spec for the actual front-axle weight, not the brochure.
And the commute still matters. Most Cy-Fair trucks run 290 into the city all week, which is why we don't push full mud terrains on every build — a loud, squirmy tire gets old fast at 70 mph, twice a day. The right Cypress setup is usually a hybrid or aggressive all-terrain on a modest lift: bite for the lease and the lot, manners for the work week. When it's built and you want somewhere to use it, start with our guide to where to wheel near Houston — the closest spots are an easy run from the northwest side.

Cypress is one of our fastest-growing service areas — but the bays see trucks from every corner of the metro. Wherever you're driving from, we've probably built a truck from your zip code already.
About 25 miles — US-290 East to Beltway 8 South, exit Westheimer. Outside rush hour, plan on 30 to 35 minutes door to door. From Bridgeland or Towne Lake, add a few minutes to reach the freeway.
That's how most Cypress customers do it. Drop at 8 AM on your way down 290, and most leveling kits and single-day installs are ready before 6 PM. Bigger builds get a written timeline up front so you're never guessing.
Leveled half-tons on aggressive all-terrains, 2-to-3.5-inch lifts with 33s to 35s, and a steady run of Super Dutys going to 35s. If it's parked in a Cy-Fair driveway, odds are we've built one like it — daily-drivable all week, capable on the lease all weekend.
No — and any shop that shrugs at that question shouldn't touch your truck. Under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, a dealer has to show the lift actually caused a failure before denying a claim on it. We install to manufacturer torque specs, document everything, and hand you the paperwork. The lift has to be done right — that's the whole point of coming here.
One trip down 290, one written quote, one truck built right. Call the shop or book online — and if you're not sure whether you want a level or a full lift, that's exactly what the consultation is for.
