Half the trucks in League City earn their keep on a boat ramp, and that changes the lift conversation completely. A shop that lifts your rear without thinking about tongue weight just handed you a truck that squats and a trailer that sways. The shop that specs it right — geometry corrected, alignment included, towing accounted for — is 40 minutes up I-45, and the bay area has already found it.
Iron Ridge Off-Road has built trucks for South Shore Harbour, Victory Lakes, Westover Park, and most of the streets in between. Lift kits, leveling kits, wheels and tires, lighting, armor — built right the first time.
Here's the honest math. The Gulf Freeway corridor has plenty of tire chains and franchise installers, and for a set of all-seasons they're fine. But a lift changes your truck's suspension geometry — and if your truck tows to a Galveston Bay ramp every other weekend, that geometry is doing double duty. Kits installed without caster correction, rear ends raised with no thought to tongue weight, alignments skipped to hit a price point — that's how general shops get owners in trouble.
Iron Ridge is a dedicated build shop. Lift kits and suspension upgrades are not a side service we offer between oil changes — they're the entire business. Every install is specced to the specific truck — including what it tows — torqued to spec, aligned in-house, and backed by a 500-mile settle check. That's why drivers pass a dozen closer shops on the way up I-45.
Not sure what your truck actually needs? Start with the services overview, or just call. The first conversation is free, and if a level serves your boat better than a lift, that's exactly what we'll tell you.

Every service we run in the Houston shop is available to League City drivers — same techs, same parts standards, same warranty. These are the builds we see most from the bay area:
From a 2-inch level to a 12-inch show build. Specced to your platform, installed with geometry correction, aligned before it leaves the bay.
Lift Kits →The smart move for League City tow rigs. Kill the factory rake, clear a 33, keep the rear geometry your trailer depends on — alignment included, always.
Leveling Kits →All-terrains that handle wet launch ramps and Galveston sand, hardware that shrugs off salt air, and fitment that actually clears at full lock.
Wheels & Tires →Light bars, pods, and rock lights with clean harness work — no scotch locks, no flickering, street-legal aim out the door.
Lighting →Winches, bumpers, skids, and recovery kits — load-rated, test-fitted, and wired right. Gear you can actually trust when it's hubs-deep.
Recovery Gear →JK and JL lifts, armor, axles, and full trail builds. If there's a Wrangler in your League City driveway, there's a build plan for it here.
Wrangler Builds →The shop sits at 6420 Westheimer Rd, just west of the Galleria — about 30 miles from League City. Outside of rush hour it's a 35-to-40-minute run, and nearly all of it is freeway.
From South Shore Harbour, Victory Lakes, or anywhere off FM 518, jump on I-45 North toward Houston. It's one road for the next 25 miles.
Take the I-610 West Loop, exit Westheimer Rd, and head west past the Galleria. You're five minutes out.
Early drop-offs are no problem — Mon–Fri from 8 AM, Sat from 9. Leveling kits are often same-day, so plenty of League City owners drop at open and pick up on the way home.
Before you drive in, call or book online and we'll have the consult ready when you arrive. You'll leave with a written quote and a real timeline — see exactly how it works in our five-step build process, or book the consultation and skip the phone tag.

League City trucks live a double life. Monday through Friday it's the I-45 commute to Clear Lake, NASA, or downtown; Saturday morning it's a boat behind the bumper headed for a Galveston Bay ramp. That's why the most common build we do for the bay area isn't a lift at all — it's a level. Raising the rear of a tow rig changes hitch height and unloads the geometry your trailer depends on, so we kill the rake, leave the rear alone, and your boat never knows the difference.
The other thing the bay does to a truck is quieter: salt. Salt air in the driveway, salt water on the launch ramp, and a rear axle that gets dunked forty weekends a year. We build for it — quality hardware that doesn't seize after two seasons, undercarriage protection where it counts, and honest advice about which budget parts turn into rust streaks down here. Cheap bolts are nobody's friend within ten miles of the bay.
And when the truck's pointed at sand instead of a ramp, Galveston's beaches are a straight run down I-45 — Bolivar a ferry ride further. Beach driving punishes the unprepared more than any trail near Houston, so read before you wheel for the air-down and recovery basics, then check our guide to where to wheel near Houston for everything beyond the surf line.

League City sends us more tow rigs than any other suburb — but the bays see trucks from every corner of the metro. Wherever you're driving from, we've probably built a truck from your zip code already.
About 30 miles — I-45 North to the 610 West Loop, exit Westheimer, west past the Galleria. Outside rush hour, plan on 35 to 40 minutes door to door. It's one merge and two exits.
If you commute into the city, yes — drop at 8 AM and most leveling kits and single-day installs are ready before 6 PM. If your work runs the other way, toward Clear Lake or NASA, Saturday drop at 9 works just as well — most levels still roll out the same day. Bigger builds get a written timeline up front.
Tow-friendly leveled half-tons, mostly — rake gone up front, factory rear geometry kept for the boat, a 33 or 34 that behaves on I-45. The rest is bay-and-beach rigs: modest lifts, all-terrains, recovery points, and lighting for pre-dawn ramp launches.
It can, if it's specced wrong — and in League City that question matters more than anywhere. A leveling kit preserves your factory rear geometry and hitch height, which is why it's our default recommendation for tow rigs. A full lift can absolutely work on a towing truck, but it needs a drop hitch, honest spring rates, and sometimes airbags — that's a spec conversation, not a catalog order. Tell us what you tow and we'll build around it.
One run up I-45, one written quote, one truck built right. Call the shop or book online — and if you're not sure whether your tow rig wants a level or a full lift, that's exactly what the consultation is for.
