Tomball was a truck town before it was a suburb, and it still builds like one. Trucks out here haul trailers, hay, and stock off FM 2920 and FM 2978 — they work, they don't pose. The shop that specs a lift those trucks can actually keep working on top of — geometry corrected, alignment included, warranty honored — is 40 minutes down TX-249.
Iron Ridge Off-Road has built rigs for ranchettes off 2920, horse properties on the 2978 side, and half the feed-store parking lot. Leveled diesels, three-quarter-tons on 35s, ranch-duty setups — built right the first time.
Here's the honest math. Tomball has tire shops and franchise installers, and for a set of all-seasons they're fine. But a lift changes your truck's suspension geometry — and a truck that tows stock trailers can't afford geometry done wrong. Kits installed without caster correction, alignments skipped to hit a price point, a rear end that squats under a gooseneck because nobody asked what the truck actually does for a living.
Iron Ridge is a dedicated build shop. Lift kits and suspension upgrades are not a side service we offer between oil changes — they're the entire business. Every install is specced to the specific truck — and to what it tows — torqued to spec, aligned in-house, and backed by a 500-mile settle check. That's why Tomball trucks pass a dozen closer shops on the way here.
Not sure what your truck actually needs? Start with the services overview, or just call. The first conversation is free and nobody will try to sell a working ranch truck a show-truck lift.

Every service we run in the Houston shop is available to Tomball drivers — same techs, same parts standards, same warranty. These are the builds we see most from the 2920 corridor:
From a 2-inch level on a three-quarter-ton to a 12-inch show build. Specced to your platform and your trailer weight, installed with geometry correction, aligned before it leaves the bay.
Lift Kits →The most popular install for Tomball work trucks. Kill the factory rake, clear a 35, keep the payload — alignment included, always.
Leveling Kits →All-terrains that shrug off unpaved county roads after rain, mud terrains for the back pasture, and load ratings that match what's on the gooseneck.
Wheels & Tires →Light bars, pods, and rock lights with clean harness work — no scotch locks, no flickering, street-legal aim out the door.
Lighting →Winches, bumpers, skids, and recovery kits — load-rated, test-fitted, and wired right. Gear you can actually trust when the county road turns to soup.
Recovery Gear →JK and JL lifts, armor, axles, and full trail builds. If there's a Wrangler in your Tomball driveway, there's a build plan for it here.
Wrangler Builds →The shop sits at 6420 Westheimer Rd, just west of the Galleria — about 32 miles from downtown Tomball. Outside of rush hour it's a 40-minute run, and most of it is tollway cruising.
From Tomball, FM 2920, or the 2978 side, jump on TX-249 South toward Houston and run it down to Beltway 8.
Take Beltway 8 South (Sam Houston Tollway) around the west side, exit Westheimer Rd, and head east. You're five minutes out.
Early drop-offs are no problem — Mon–Fri from 8 AM, Sat from 9. Leveling kits are often same-day, so plenty of Tomball owners drop at open and pick up before evening chores.
Before you drive in, call or book online and we'll have the consult ready when you arrive. You'll leave with a written quote and a real timeline — see exactly how it works in our five-step build process, or book the consultation and skip the phone tag.

Tomball terrain is honest: unpaved county roads that turn to peanut butter after rain, pasture two-tracks, and gravel drives that wash out every spring. Nobody out here needs to be told mud is a given — the question is whether the truck handles it as a working condition or an event. That's a tire, clearance, and recovery-point conversation, not a chrome one, and it's the conversation we start with.
The work shapes the spec. A truck that pulls stock trailers and hay can't run a lift that wrecks its rear geometry — hitch height, squat under load, and sway control matter more than the extra inch of show. That's why the standard Tomball build is a leveled or modestly lifted three-quarter-ton on 35s with load-range tires: more clearance, same work ethic. Solid and serviceable over showy — the way Tomball has always liked its trucks.
And since half of what rolls in off 249 is diesel, read our guide to lifting a diesel truck before you buy a kit — the extra nose weight changes the spec entirely. When the work's done and you want to play, where to wheel near Houston covers the closest legal dirt to the north side.

Tomball's work trucks keep TX-249 busy on Saturday mornings — but the bays see rigs from every corner of the metro. Wherever you're driving from, we've probably built a truck from your zip code already.
About 32 miles — TX-249 South toward Houston, Beltway 8 South around the west side, exit Westheimer Rd and head east. Outside rush hour, plan on 40 minutes door to door from downtown Tomball or the 2920 corridor.
Most Tomball customers drop at 8 AM and have the truck back the same evening — leveling kits and most single-day installs are done before 6 PM. If the truck hauls daily, tell us up front; we'll book the install on your slowest day and put the timeline in writing so the trailer never sits.
Leveled and lifted three-quarter-tons on 35s, a lot of them diesel — ranch-duty setups with load-range tires, real skid plates, and lighting for early mornings on the property. Solid and serviceable beats showy out here, and we build accordingly.
Honest answer: a 2-to-2.5-inch level or a tow-rated 3-inch lift, specced with your trailer weight in the math. Go taller and hitch height, rear squat, and sway control all suffer — physics doesn't care how good it looks. We'll tell you where the line is for your truck, and we'll say no to a kit that crosses it.
One consult, one written quote, one truck built right. Call the shop or book online — and bring your trailer weights. Speccing the lift around the work is exactly what the consultation is for.
