Air Suspension Is Load Control, Not a Party Trick

The word "air" covers three very different jobs, and the first thing we do is figure out which one you actually need. Air helper bags level a loaded truck. On-board air runs your tires, lockers, and tools. Full air-ride gives adjustable height and a plush ride. They share a name and almost nothing else.

Most of the trucks that roll in asking about air are towing or hauling and squatting under the load — that is an air helper bag conversation, not a full air-ride one. We would rather solve the actual problem with the right system than sell you a complicated setup you do not need. And whatever we install, the win or loss is in the plumbing and wiring, not the parts on the box.

We also service factory air. If your Ram or new Tundra has four-corner air and you want it lifted or repaired, that takes air-compatible parts and recalibration — done right, not fought with spacers.

Air Bags, On-Board Air & Air-Ride Options

Four different air jobs, four different systems. We install the one that solves your actual problem — and plumb and wire all of them to last.

Tow & Haul

Rear Air Helper Bags

Inflatable bags alongside your springs that level the rear under a heavy trailer tongue or loaded bed. Air Lift and Firestone, plumbed to a gauge so you adjust to the load. The single best upgrade for a truck that tows or hauls heavy.

Trail Essential

On-Board Air

A mounted compressor and tank so you have air anywhere — to air tires back up after the trail, run air lockers, and power tools. Turns the trailhead air-up from a chore into a thirty-second job.

Adjustable

Air-Ride Suspension

A full four-corner air system for adjustable ride height and a plush, load-leveling ride. More complex, but the answer for owners who want height on demand and a magic-carpet ride on the highway. Built and plumbed to be reliable.

OEM Service

Factory Air Service & Lift

Lifting or repairing factory four-corner air on Rams, the new Tundra, and others takes air-compatible components and ride-height recalibration — not spacers. We service factory air the way the system requires so it holds the new height.

What Air Suspension Solves — and What It Doesn't

Air is the right tool for some jobs and the wrong one for others. Here is where each system earns its keep and where conventional springs still win.

What Air Solves

  • Leveling a truck under a heavy tongue or loaded bed
  • Restoring headlight aim, braking, and ride when loaded
  • Airing tires up fast at the trailhead
  • Powering air lockers and air tools anywhere
  • Adjustable ride height with a full air-ride system
  • Towing and hauling comfort within the truck's rating

Where Springs Still Win

  • Pure off-road abuse — coils and leaves are simpler
  • Air does not raise payload or tow ratings
  • Helper bags are not a lift or a fix for worn springs
  • Full air-ride adds complexity and more to maintain
✓ The Honest Version

If you tow and haul, rear air bags are a near-no-brainer. If you wheel on aired-down tires, on-board air is one of the best quality-of-life upgrades you can make. Full air-ride is great for the right owner — but we will not sell it to someone whose problem a simple helper bag would solve.

Plumbing, Wiring & Controls Done Right

An air system lives or dies on the install. The bag, compressor, or strut is rarely the failure point — the failures are chafed lines, cheap fittings, and a compressor wired without protection. Here is the bar we hold so your air system just works for years.

We run quality brands — Air Lift, Firestone, ARB, VIAIR — but the difference is in routing, sealing, and wiring every line and circuit like it matters, because it does.

Compressor & Tank Sizing

We size the compressor and tank to the job — a small unit for helper bags, a high-output compressor and real tank for fast tire fills and air tools. The right size means it keeps up without overheating or cycling constantly.

Wiring & Controls

Compressors get fused, relayed, marine-grade wiring on a proper circuit, with a clean in-cab control — gauge, switch, or wireless. No melted connectors, no draining your battery, no guesswork on pressure.

Leak-Free Plumbing

Every line is routed away from heat and pinch points, secured, and terminated with quality DOT or push-to-connect fittings. We leak-test the whole system under pressure before it leaves the shop. No slow leaks, no chasing pressure.

How We Install Your Air System

Every air install follows the same five-step path we use across the shop — the full build process covers the details.

01

Consult & Diagnose

We figure out which air job you actually need — bags, on-board air, or air-ride. No quote without it.

02

Spec & Quote

The right system and component sizing for your load and use, with the control you want in the cab.

03

Mount & Plumb

Bags, compressor, tank, lines, and wiring installed, routed, and secured clean and in-house.

04

Leak-Test & Set

Full system pressure-tested, controls calibrated, and recalibration done on factory air systems.

05

Deliver & Follow-Up

Walkthrough of the controls and pressures, documentation, and a check-in after first heavy use.

Air Suspension Questions, Answered

Air helper bags are inflatable bags added alongside your existing springs to support the rear when you load or tow. They do not lift the truck or replace the suspension — they level it under load so a heavy trailer tongue or a loaded bed does not leave you sagging and headlight-aimed at the sky. If you tow or haul heavy, they are one of the best upgrades you can make; if you never carry weight, you do not need them.
On-board air is a compressor and tank mounted on the rig so you have air anywhere. It airs your tires back up after you drop pressure for the trail, runs air lockers, powers air tools, and inflates everything from a buddy's tire to a paddleboard. For anyone who wheels on aired-down tires, on-board air turns the trailhead routine from a chore into a thirty-second job.
It depends on the job. Conventional coil and leaf springs are simpler and more durable for pure off-road abuse. Air helper bags are the best answer for a truck that swings between empty and heavily loaded. Full air-ride suspension gives adjustable ride height and a plush ride but adds complexity. We match the system to how you actually use the truck rather than pushing one answer.
Yes. Trucks and SUVs with factory four-corner air — many Rams, the new Tundra, and others — need air-compatible lift components and ride-height sensor recalibration, not spacers the system will fight. We service, lift, and repair factory air systems the right way. See our Ram 1500 and Toyota Tundra pages for how we handle their air setups.
Significantly. Rear air helper bags level the truck under a heavy tongue weight or loaded bed, which restores headlight aim, steering feel, braking balance, and ride quality when loaded. They do not raise your payload or tow rating — that is set by the truck — but they make the truck use its rating safely and comfortably. We plumb them with a gauge so you can adjust pressure to the load.
A quality air system installed correctly is very reliable. Leaks come from cheap fittings, chafed lines, and rushed installs — not from the technology. We use quality bags, compressors, and push-to-connect or DOT fittings, route and secure every line away from heat and pinch points, and leak-test the whole system before it leaves. Done right, it just works.
