Off Road Shop Reviews Houston Customers Trust

We don't chase stars. We build rigs people talk about. Iron Ridge Off-Road has been operating out of Houston since 2013 — one shop, one team, one standard. When a build goes out the door, it's been driven, aligned, and signed off by the same technicians who installed it. Learn more in about Iron Ridge or see the full scope of all services we offer.

The pattern you'll see in our reviews isn't "friendly staff" or "clean waiting room." It's specificity. Customers name the exact components, describe the alignment results, tell you where they went wheeling, and how the rig performed under real conditions. That's what over a decade of doing this right — following our build process on every job — looks like from the customer's side of the bay door.

Browse our build gallery to see completed rigs. Core services: lift kits & suspension, wheels & tires, regears, death wobble repair, and diesel truck lifts. Ready to build? Contact us or book a consult below.

What Our Customers Say

Twelve reviews from real customers across the Greater Houston area. Platforms and services vary — build quality doesn't.

★★★★★
Google
Iron Ridge built my JL exactly how I spec'd it — Fox 2.5 Performance Series coilovers up front, Fox 2.5 Performance reservoir shocks rear, 3.5-inch Metal Cloak Gen 3 lift, and Metal Cloak UCAs. The alignment they ran post-lift is dialed in. Went to Mineral Wells on 35s and the truck tracked better than it did stock. These guys don't cut corners on setup work.
★★★★★
Google
Added 35s to my Tacoma about a year ago and immediately lost power and fuel economy. Iron Ridge regeared to 4.88s — now it drives like it should have come from the factory with 35s. Install was clean, zero gear noise, no issues in the first 5,000 miles. Build advisor walked me through the break-in procedure and called to check in at 500 miles.
★★★★★
Google
Lifted my Super Duty diesel with a Zone Offroad 4-inch leveling lift and 37s. They sourced the BDS brake line relocation brackets and ran a driveline angle correction kit. Tow angles are still solid — took the trailer to Garner State Park with zero issues. They know diesel trucks better than anyone I've dealt with in the Houston area.
★★★★★

Went in for a winch install and walked out with a full ARB front bumper setup. Team explained the mounting requirements for a 10K winch on my 4Runner V8 and didn't try to upsell me on things I didn't need. The electrical routing through the firewall is clean — this is professional work that'll be on this rig for 20 years.
★★★★★
Google
Had death wobble at 65 mph on my JK for two years. Two other shops replaced parts without fixing it. Iron Ridge ran a full front-end diagnostic — found a worn track bar bushing and undersized steering stabilizer. Replaced the track bar with a heavy-duty aftermarket unit, re-torqued the entire front end, road-tested to 80 mph. Clean for 14,000 miles since.
★★★★★
Yelp
The build advisor here actually listens. I said I wanted trail-capable looks without regearing yet, and they spec'd me into a 285/75R17 that fit my Tacoma SR5 with just a level kit — no rubbing. Method 305 NV wheels cleared the wells perfectly. Two months in, no vibration, no contact. They matched the right tire to the budget.
★★★★★
Google
Lifted my Bronco Sport with the Falcon Nexus EF 2.1 kit — 3 inches of lift, Falcon shocks front and rear, extended brake lines, and a fresh alignment. Build advisor talked me through tire sizing for the fender gap and I ended up on 245/75R17s. Rides well daily and handles East Texas red dirt roads with real confidence now.
★★★★★
Google
Came in wanting to fix the saggy rear-end on my JK Unlimited after years on OEM springs. Iron Ridge recommended the Teraflex ST2 coilover setup — it completely transformed the ride. Articulation through rocky sections at Barnwell Mountain improved dramatically. Build took two days, alignment included, and they called when it was road-ready.
★★★★☆
Google
Long-arm build on my 4Runner took three days — worth every one. Old Man Emu 2.5-inch coilovers up front, OME Nitrocharger Sport rear shocks, plus 1.5-inch rear lift. They found worn lower control arm bushings during teardown and replaced them before reassembly. Knocked one star only because a bracket back-order added two days — not a quality issue.
★★★★★
Google
Rock sliders are welded on, not bolted — the fabrication is legitimate. CBI skid plate system covers the transfer case, transmission, and front diff. I've scraped the sliders at San Solomon twice since the install. No flex, no movement. Iron Ridge took half a day and the welds look as clean as anything I've seen on a production build.
★★★★★
Facebook
Lifted my Ranger with a Readylift 2-inch SST leveling kit and went up to 275/70R17 Cooper AT3s. The shop was straight with me that this wasn't going to transform trail performance — it's a daily with occasional dirt roads — but the setup is clean and the tire fitment is spot-on. No rubbing, no trim cuts needed, and a proper alignment after.
★★★★★
Yelp
Went in for a 1.5-inch level on my Silverado Trail Boss to kill the front rake and fit 33s. Iron Ridge spec'd a strut spacer lift so I could run 275/65R18s on Fuel Assault wheels with zero fender cuts. Result is exactly what I wanted — aggressive look, perfect alignment, no vibration at highway speed on my daily commute from Missouri City.

Yes. All parts carry the manufacturer warranty and our labor is backed by a written warranty on installed components. If something doesn't feel right after your build, bring it back — post-build check-ins are standard practice here, not an upsell.
